Seasonal Adult Hike: The Pink Moon 04/23 8-9:

Did you know that every full moon of the calendar year has a name associated with it? April's full moon is known as the "Pink Moon" as it heralds in the arrival of early spring flowers like phlox. With spring right on the cusp of arriving we think we should celebrate the end of winter with a beautiful astronomy themed hike through Cranberry Lake Park! Along with our interpretive nature walk we will be taking numerous breaks in the meadows to turn our attention skyward to try and spot some easy to see constellations and talk about their history and mythology. We will show our favorite astronomy apps for use on the trail and will teach you how to tell the difference between stars, planets, and satellites, and will provide star charts to take home to continue your universal observations through the summer!
Participants are asked to bring their own flashlights or headlamps.
